Raitatea west coast :
Miri-Miri
This site is an absolute delight dive to the crystal clear water and the variety of colorful fish. As a matter of fact blacktip reef sharks, Napoleon wrasses,
walls of snappers will accompany you during the dive. Accessible to all levels.

The roses
A breathtaking descent in the deep blue which will take you to a coral rose carpet. Don’t miss it if you are level 2 or rescue diver.
Tuna fish, rays and sometimes hammerhead sharks or swordfish come from the depths to see you.

Raoto Nui pass
For the lovers of barracudas, a nice school awaits you. It is not unusual to meet some spotted eagle rays.
Raiatea east coast :
Teavapiti Pass
You will be able to observe white tip lagoon sharks, black tip, grey sharks, schools of jacks fish, barracudas, napoleons and sometimes tuna fish. Accessible to all levels.

The rairas
This word means grey sharks. The site is called that way because you can encounter some really nice grey sharks over there. Since they are curious, you can observe them closely, very closely.

The Nordby
We will visit the splendid three-mast ship, which is about 60 meters long and sunk on August 22nd 1990. The hull and rigging are intact; 2 of the 3 masts are still in place, the wooden deck,
open today, allows us to come in and out very easily. We can find surgeon fish, lionfish, reef stone fish, giant jacks, angel fish, black coral and lots of other species. Accessible to all levels. Don’t miss it by night!
Taha'a east coast :
Ceran Pass
Always a drift dive, this pass is very rich in marine life. There are hundreds of colourful tropical fish: big walls of barracudas, surgeon fish, bigeyes jackfish… as well as rays, sharks, Napoleon wrasses live around this beautiful peak covered with yellow coral. Accessible to level 2 or rescue.

The octopus hole
We are very proud of it. Raiatea is known as the cradle of Polynesian civilizations and according to the legend; Raiatea was the starting point of the great migrations to the Polynesian triangle.
Taha'a north coast :
Tao-tao
Since the site is far from the two passes, the water is crystal clear (up to 40 or 50 meters, 100 feet). Tao-tao is still wild, fishing is rare. Big perches, Napoleon wrasses, barracudas live
there. We have even encountered lemon sharks, tuna and swordfish. The coral is particularly beautiful. Accessible to all levels.
Taha'a west coast :
Tiva pass
A drift dive along the reef which offers lots of shelters for all fish, Napoleon wrasses, rays, grey sharks… Level 2 or rescue diver minimum.
Bora-Bora :
Tupitipiti
We regularly organize dives in the south of Bora Bora which is less than an hour away. We usually go there for 2 dives. The reef descent into the deep water is breathtaking, it is covered with gorgonian coral formations. This site is very rich in marine life: schools of bigeye jackfish, eagle rays, sharks…
TRAINING DIVES
Level 1 certification
You have always felt like discovering the underworld or you’ve been delighted with your first diving experience, why not take your level 1 during your holiday, it would be a shame to miss our beautiful underwater sites.
The first level is an international certification (CMAS or PADI Open Water) which allows you to dive up to 20 meters (90 feet) in Polynesia but always with an instructor. With this level you will be able to enjoy fully the richness of our waters.
Start in Tahiti or Moorea, continue in Raiatea and Bora Bora and finish in Rangiroa.
Note : It's possible to pass the Level 1 between the islands, from 12 years.

You will be able to dive more deeply, you will become autonomous and learn to deal with your own dives and assist others.
According to your experience and the length of your stay in Raiatea, you’ll be able to get level 2 with a minimum of 10 dives and between 3 to 5 theoretical courses.
Level 2 (CMAS) will allow you to dive up to 40 meters and you’ll be able to dive on your own up to 20 meters if the instructor agrees.
Level 3 will allow you to be totally autonomous and dive up to 50 meters.
For these levels, you have to remain in the same diving centre during the whole training.
According to your experience and the length of your stay in Raiatea, you’ll be able to get level 2 with a minimum of 10 dives and between 3 to 5 theoretical courses.
Level 2 (CMAS) will allow you to dive up to 40 meters and you’ll be able to dive on your own up to 20 meters if the instructor agrees.
Level 3 will allow you to be totally autonomous and dive up to 50 meters.
For these levels, you have to remain in the same diving centre during the whole training.
Level 4 certification
You will be able to supervise other divers, from beginners to certified divers and also carry out initiations in artificial environment.
It is the highest level for a diver so the training is intensive. At the end of the training you’ll have to take a two-day exam which consists in showing your physical abilities, your skills as underwater guide and your theoretical knowledge.
3-4 months are necessary with 2 trainings per week, 4-hour practical courses and 2-hour theoretical courses per week.
Either you need long vacation or you need to live in Raiatea!
It is the highest level for a diver so the training is intensive. At the end of the training you’ll have to take a two-day exam which consists in showing your physical abilities, your skills as underwater guide and your theoretical knowledge.

Level 2 (CMAS) will allow you to dive up to 49 meters and you’ll be able to dive on your own up to 20 meters if the instructor agrees.
Level 3 will allow you to be totally autonomous and dive up to 60 meters.
For these levels, you have to remain in the same diving centre during the whole training.
According to your experience and the length of your stay in Raiatea, you’ll be able to get level 2 with a minimum of 10 dives and between 3 to 5 theoretical courses.

September to early December humpback whales come to visit us. The show is indescribable!
We are very lucky!
It's very rare to observe wales from a boat and rarely in the water in the world but the French Polynesia is a magic territory for that. Indeed, September to December the humpback wales come to us.
Why do they come?
To give birth and breed. This "little sissy" prefer our clear and warm water for the education of the baby! Please note i said baby, but you still have the real proporions. Our baby weighs is 1 or 2 tons at birth and measure 12 to 15 feets.
After 3 month of migration, about 6 000 km the humpback are here. Once there, they don't feed but give birth and feed the baby. This one drink 500 liters of milk per day and double is weight in 2 weeks. The baby become independant 4 years later. You should know that a wale is pregnant each 3 or 4 year and take care of this one especially the first critical year. It's during this year that the mother learn to him how to breath and how to eat. It's not uncommon to see a mother helping his son to breath, or being inside our lagoon, teaching to him to "weave" between the shoals.
The wales are very afectionate toward their baby and very protective. They will let you know if you are too close! Kindly of course. They are looking to get away or they will make a small gesture of the fin to say stop. During they stay with us, you can enjoy many of their game. One of their favorite is jumping. You would think they make up competition, as the Olympic Games.
Some of them are completely out of the water. Imagine the strength it must have to propel themselves out of the water. If conditions permit we jump into the water to join them. It is not uncommon to hear them singing. Only male. They with each other or call the females for breeding because of French Polynesia is also the place where whales mate. If the female is fertilized, she moved to 11 months of gestation.
No much more rare: The whale shark
They are a little bit far from orphans: coasts, but approaches it sometime. However, for the lucky, may appear, the delight of divers !

We have special equipment for children
There are 2 different ways of diving:

The hookah
The best way for small children. A long regulator goes from the instructor’s tank. The child doesn’t have to carry a tank. He is free to move. Maximum depth: 1 to 2 meters (3 to 6 feet). Let’s have a look and see what’s possible with children. -
Very often the children want to carry their own tank to do like their parents
We have 6L tanks and BCD for juniors as well as nozzles. Feel reassured; we make sure everything goes smoothly during the whole dive.
First of all everything is possible.
As far as we’re concerned, we organize a competition of underwater stories: the children must mime a story and once back on the surface; the other children explain what they have understood. We also have competitions of underwater drawings or funny faces.
According to the organizations, there are different certifications for children who can’t take level 1 (12 years old). At the FFESSM (French federation), those certifications are bronze, silver or gold divers. At the ANMP (Another French federation), they will take the tetardo, the aquaticus and the explorator. Those different levels are a good way to prepare level 1.

RENTAL
We warn you that nothing can replace the experience of the diving centers on the island to enjoy freely the underwater world. We know the currents, the spots and the behaving of the sharks. If you decide to hire some equipment, we are not responsible for any possible accidents.
You have to bring your own computer or depth gage. We don’t rent fins, mask and wetsuit.
